This course was designed to meet the mathematical needs of students who prefer an Applications and Project based learning environment to the traditional classroom model, where abstract concepts are presented, practiced and tested.

 

Student grades are determined as follows:

*   30 % projects

*   30 % class work

*   20 % portfolios

*   20 % homework

 

It is strongly recommended that your child has access to TI-84 Graphing Calculator,
outside of class.

         (systems of linear functions)

* Analyzing the Path of a Ball in the game of catch

        (quadratic functions)

* The Exponential increase of the Cost of Living

        (exponential and logarithmic functions)

*  Election Theory

*  Project Planning

*  Fair Division
