Reading Skills
For the remainder of the year, we will be reading nonfiction/expository/informational texts. We will be reading nonfiction stories and integrating them with our Science and Social Studies textbooks. Students will take their final benchmark the week of June 1st.
Tonight's 20
REMINDER: Students have Tonight's 20 homework Monday-Thursday. If your child is absent, please have them complete the reading log the day they are absent or make it up over the weekend. Please have your child fill out the reading log and please initial it every night. Reading logs are due no later than Monday. Students should be writing 2 or more sentences every night. All reading logs must have a title, the author's name, genre, at least a 2 sentence response and a parent's signature. Homework does count for 10% of their final grade.
