Field Trips

On January 27th, the third grade classes will be visiting Peking Pagoda restaurant in Eden.  We are going to learn about Chinese food.  We have been studying China for the Chinese New Year and we think this will be a great addition to our unit.  The students will practice eating with chopstick before we go on the trip.  Also, while there, the students will listen to the owner of the restaurant talk about Chinese culture, traditions, and artifacts from China.  We hope this will be a fun learning experience for our students!  The cost for this lunch will be $6.  This is due on January 25th.

On February 9th, the third graders will be going to the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus.  The theme of the circus this year is The Dragon!  We will tie this into our Chinese unit.  This year is the year of the Dragon!  After the circus, we will go to the Four Seasons Mall and eat at the food court.  Students will have a choice of Sonic, Chick-Fil-A, or Somberro Pizza.  The circus is FREE; thanks to our Kleenex winnings!  However, students will have to pay for their own food at the food court.

On April 10th, students will be going to Reidsville High School to hear the Greensboro Symphony.
