Writing

 

                             
The children love to write!


We are working really hard to get them to write more complete sentences. 

The students will be writing in their journals every morning.  Journal entries often include asking the children to write a story using the reading vocabulary words or about a topic. This provides the students with a meaningful way to use new words they are learning in class. 

This school year we are going to be focusing on: writing elaborate sentences, letter writing, complete sentences in response to a question, literature circle responses, paragraph writing, and 5-paragraph narrative and expository writing
