Welcome to Mrs. Perry's 5th Grade!
Please continue to practice multiplication and division facts EVERY night. Many students are still struggling with these.
We are now studying unit 5 in math (Chapers 13-15). Please review these skills at home. We will take this test on Thursday, February 4.
In science, we are covering chapter 9 (Changes of Earth's Surface).
Be on the lookout for student passwords! Each student has passwords for Ticket to Read, VMath, FCAT Explorer, and the online science textbook. Please email me if you don't have one of these passwords. All of these programs are excellent online resources to use at home.
The second nine weeks will begin our fluency testing for reading class. We will send home a fluency story every Monday. Please have your child practice this every night (Mon-Thurs). Fluency testing will take place on Fridays. Your child will be timed for one minute. The score will be based on speed as well as expression, fluidity, intonation...
