2. We have applied for a Grant to "greenup" our school. Our hope is to build a poetry path through the woods between the schools. We plan to post children's and  Earth friendly poet's work in a serene spot to be enjoyed. We also plan to have a spot in both schools where we will hang more works along with
photographs of our Poetry Path. Please click below to see where we envision our path.

Boys and Girls,

I have started a Poetry Wiki. The purpose is to introduce you to many forms of poetry and to give you a chance to publish your original writings on our  website. All you have to do is choose a style and write a poem. Please proofread it carefully. You can type it or hand write it and either give it to me or Mrs. Greenhouse or email it to either one of us.

Third Grade

We just finished a Database Project. It is based on the 50 states. We decided what facts were important and set up the fields. Now, using State Cards and the website www.50states.com, the children are filling in a lot of information. The exciting part will be the organizing and sorting and making reports on the information.

Second Grade

Second grade has also justfinished a Database project. The topic of theirs are Vertebrates, or animals with backbones. We came up with a list of information we wanted and set up our fields. Now we are about to start informaiton.

First grade, Kindergarten and Pre-school'

We continue exploring many options there are for children on the computer.

"Mock" Waretown Census

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students have been making use of the data we got from our "Mock Census". They have made graphs comparing each grades favorite video games and where they live in town. The data base unit they just finished really made it easy for them.

Check back often and I will keep you posted on what each grade is working on at that time.
