What's happening in REACH?

 

      First Grade: The students are learning about poetry. They have begun a Poetry Lapbook and have made lists of rhyming words. They will be adding mini-books about word families, syllables, rhymes and more. They will learn about and write couplets, acrostics, and other simple types of poems.

 

   Second Grade: The students have begun a project on a famous American. They are researching that person on the internet and answering questions. Finally they will make a poster telling about that person.

 

   Third Grade: The students have begun a Poetry webquest. By following clues and links, they will explore famous poets and styles of writing. When they have completed the webquest they will have written many different types of poems.
