NAME: TILF (Texas Interscholastic League Foundation)

 

CRITERIA: You are eligible if you have competed at the UIL Academic State Meet or qualify as an Outstanding Soloist at the Texas State Solo and ensemble contest (TSSEC) any year of your high school career

 

DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted via the TILF website from March 4, 2013 to May 31, 2013

NAME: The Betty Sue and G. Ray Sawyer Memorial Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating senior from Hill County who plans to attend Texas A&M University (has been accepted)

 

DEADLINE: Deadline is April 12, 2013 – Completed Applications should be mailed, faxed or emailed.

NAME: Don’t Mess With Texas Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating high school senior planning to attend a Texas college or university AND has taken a leadership role to prevent litter in their school and/or community

 

DEADLINE: Deadline for online submission or postmarked by: April 12, 2013, 5:00pm

NAME: HILCO Scholarship for Excellence

 

CRITERIA: Graduating senior who is living with parents or legal guardians who are active members-consumers of HILCO Electric Cooperative. HILCO member must be receiving electric service from the cooperative at their permanent address.

 

DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted no earlier than April 1 or later than April 15, 2013 at 4PM

NAME: Molly Gerold Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Any graduating senior who’s counselor is a member of TCA/TSCA (Yours Is!)

 

DEADLINE: Must be postmarked on or before April 15, 2013

NAME: Wells Fargo Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating Covington High School senior

 

DEADLINE: Application with essay due to Mrs. Nivens on or before noon, May 1, 2013

NAME: Kerry G. Hargrove Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating Covington High School senior

NAME: Mary E. Allison Memorial Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating Covington High School senior who plans on becoming a teacher

NAME: Charles “Sonny” Moore Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating Covington High School senior who plans on going into education

NAME: Association for Rural Education and Advancement Scholarship

 

CRITERIA: Graduating senior from one of 16 small schools in central Texas (we are), with a minimum      GPA of 2.7

 

DEADLINE: Application with supporting materials due on or before May 1, 2013

NAME: First Baptist Church of Covington Foundation Youth Development Scholarship Fund

 

CRITERIA:  Be a Covington High School graduating senior and be accepted to an accredited 2 or 4 year college or tech school (you will need proof of acceptance)

 

DEADLINE: Must be RECEIVED by the church on or before May 17, 2013

 

APPLICATION: All seniors were mailed an application and Mrs. Dent has extra copies

 

 

 

NAME: Al’s Formal Wear (Two $1000 Scholarships)

 

CRITERIA: Must be a graduating senior, at least 17 years old.  Original essay required describing yourself and your aspirations.  Full rules located at www.alsformalwear.com/Scholarship
