I have run the Peachtree Road Race since 1986 with my UGA college roommate.
I always stop and say hi to Chesley McNeil and Chris Holcolmb from WXIA TV.
I run many 5K and 10K races throughout the year.

I have a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) and Master's degree (M.Ed.)
from the University of Georgia. I received my Specialist degree (Ed.S.)
from the State University of West Georgia.
I have been teaching at Kennesaw Elementary since 1993.
I spent one year teaching at Kennesaw and at Ford Elementary.
I have run the Peachtree Road Race over 30 times.
In the school year of 2016-2017 I was named the Elementary PE
Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Association for
Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
I was also named the Southern District SHAPE America
Elementary PE Teacher of the Year.
I am one of the Kids Heart Challenge/Jump Rope For Heart Coordinators
at Kennesaw.
Since starting with JRFH our school has raised
over $796,000 for the American Heart Association.
I am with Vince Dooley (former University of Georgia Coach and Athletic Director) at the Kennesaw Business Association luncheon.
What a great speaker and kind man to talk to! He claims to have remembered seeing me run by his house in Athens in the late 1980's.
I got to meet John Schurholz from the Atlanta Braves at Vinings Bank last summer. I asked him if we could get one of the Braves to come visit our school during their off-season. I hope he meant it when he told me "let's make that happen".
I had the honor of meeting Georgia's former State School Superintendent,
Dr. John Barge last summer.
This was taken during the Peachtree Road Race on July 4, 2014. I have run this with my college roomate/sorority sister at least 30 times. The finish line picture was published in the Atlanta Journal one year.
Yes, I am in the picture with Tom Selleck on this page.
I met him in September of 2001 in New York City.
I'm confident he thinks back on that day and smiles.
Beth Finnegan and I got to meet Robert Redford in April 2014.
I like to think he is smiling as he remembers meeting us.
He was very complimentary of our Robert Redford Fan Club shirts.
