page contents

Welcome to our class webpage! My name is Mrs. Leasure and I am looking forward to a wonderful year working with you and your child. This page will be a great resource to you as it will list important dates, Georgia Standards of Excellence that we are currently working on, and other information.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or send me a message through ClassDojo.

Together we can help your child succeed!

Important Information to Remember:

Review sight word flashcards every night with your child as part of his/her homework. Sight words are super important and the foundation for good readers and writers.

Practice your child's name making sure that he/she writes it using an uppercase letter at the beginning and the rest lowercase.

Practice recognizing and writing uppercase and lowercase letters with your child. Also practice the sounds that each letter makes.

Practice rhyming words with your child. Your child will need to recognize rhyming words AND be able to produce rhyming words in order to meet Georgia Standard of Excellence
ELAGSEKRF2.
