I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade again this year!!!!!

This is my sixth year teaching at Jordye Bacon Elementary.  I have taught 3rd, 4th, and Title I.  Every year has been exciting and memorable, as I have been lucky to teach wonderful students.  JBE is a great place where I truly enjoy being around such terrific students.

I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and have lived in Hinesville for the past 11 years.  I have a 17 year old daughter, Aubrey and a 15 year old son, Stone.  They are wonderful and funny children who make me laugh every day.

I graduated from Jefferson State College with a degree in Interior Design.  While I loved this, it took time away from my family and I returned to college after I moved to Georgia.  I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brewton Parker College.  I completed my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University.  I am looking forward to continuing my education throughout my teaching career.

I am a HUGE fan of Alabama Football!!!!  I spend weekends in the fall glued to the t.v. when I am not able to attend the game. ROLL TIDE!  I also enjoy listening to all types of music, reading, watching HGTV, and decorating.

In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers.  I believe that great things can happen when we work together!
