Hello...

I am so "thrilled" to be returning this year! Nannie Berry Elementary has become my extended family. So-o-o with that in mind, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have taught physical education for 27 years. I was born and raised in Indiana (Go Colts); later moved to the great state of Texas where I earned my Physical Education Degree from The University Of Texas (Hook em' Horns).

I taught middle school for 12 years and coached gymnastics, volleyball, track and basketball. The other 15 years have been in elementary p.e. and I love it!!! Teaching p.e. is my passion. I am married...I have a son who was in the U.S. Air Force & Iraq...I am 'blessed' with two grandchildren...and have two dogs.

Now that you know me better, lets discuss our goals for p.e. class. There will be many fun activities and learning opportunities that will enable your child to reach their next level of development. Our program will emphasize skills such as: throwing and catching, striking, dribbling, rhythmic movement, eye-hand coordination, sports, health and FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

We are also proud to incorporate the new S.P.A.R.K. program (Sports, Play and Active Recreation for Kids); along with S.M.A.R.T. (Stimulating Maturity through Accelerated Readiness Training) and will continue to focus on each child's physical well-being.

I am looking forward to a fantastic year~
