Welcome to the beginning of a new school year-a great time to emphasize the importnace of physical activity in your child's education which is vital to his or her health and wellness.  Children should accumulate 60 minutes of physical activity per day.
                                                                      What is Physical Education ?
Physical Education is exactly what the words say...education of physical self.  Many people feel that physical education and physical activity are all the same when in all actuality physical education is something that is fostered by a physical educator and physical activity is something that one engages in for one's health-related fitness.
Physical Education is a multitude of activities encouraging young participants to learn the importance of the "why" and "how" of movement.   Physical Education activities are to help ensure that all students are given the best possible opportunities to lear basic sports skills.  Successful participation in any team or individual sport is directly related to the initial basic skills preparation, and appropriate time on task increases the level of game readiness.

We are focusing on teeball and baseball during the month of May.
