Many exciting things are happening in our classroom! We are having a great year and learning so much everyday. The students are working hard and I am very proud of the progress that they have made. Keep up the great work! Check your child's folder every night for their behavior color for the day, graded papers, newsletters, reports, and notes from the teacher. Please continue to encourage your child daily!

Remember to read 30 minutes each night with your child.  It is important that you ask questions and interact with your child while he/she is reading.  Have your child go back and find details to support his/her answers in the story.  This is an important skill for students to be able to do. Please make sure to check over your child's homework before he/she turns it in. Thank you for helping your child with his/her homework. Remember that students should be coming to school prepared to take AR tests throughout the week, as that is included as part of their homework--reading at home.
For the most part the homework routine is the same each week: Read 1 AR book, spelling or vocabulary sheet, and math sheet. The only time this routine will change is if your child has a short school week. Please refer to the planner for changes.

Contact the office to get a pin number for parent link and AR. You can check your child's grade right from your computer, as well as their lunch funds, AR record, and attendance record. You will receive weekly emails of their grades as entered and other information.  This is a great way of knowing what your child's grade is every single week.

A good parent-teacher relationship is necessary in order to maximize your child’s success in school. I am looking forward to a great year working with your child! I am here for you and your child anytime. Your child’s education is my top priority. As always, please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions or concerns.

Thanks for all you do!
