Welcome to the Laboratory School!

My name is Mrs. Bordelon, and I am excited about the 2009-2010 school year. I am both resource teacher and 7th grade language arts teacher at Southeastern Lab School. I received her B.S. from Northeast Louisiana University and my Masters degree in Special Education and +30 from Southeastern Louisiana Unviversity. My regular education certifications include nursery school, kindergarten, and grades one through eight. I am highly qualified to teach both middle school English Language Arts and Math. My special education certifications include: non-categorical preschool, kindergarten, and grades one through twelve. This is my twelth year teaching. After staying home with my children for six years, I returned to teaching three years ago. I love teaching at the Lab School!

7th grage ELA
This year, you will be introduced to literature from the four different genres. In our reading, we will travel the world and also go back in time. We will learn and explore literature by using many hands-on activities. You will work with many of your classmates in cooperative groups in order to see different perspectives and to practice and apply what you learn. I look forward to a fun and exciting year!
