Welcome to ELA!

    My name is Ms. Cheri A. Jeanfreau, and I am the ELA teacher for grades 3-5, at SLU Laboratory School.  I am beginning my 17th year of teaching this year (9th at SLU Lab), and I am just as excited this year as I was my first year of teaching! 

    I graduated from SLU in 1996 with certifcations in Elementary Education (Grades 1-8), as well as Special Education Mild/Moderate.  I also have a minor in Visual Arts, and my Master's Degree is in Adminstration (Elementary Principalship).

    When I am not teaching, I am Mom to my special little one!  As much as I love teaching, I am enjoying learning all over again through the eyes of a 15 month old!  Life is precious, and it is so nice to stop and smell the roses with her!  Of course, to those of you that I have been working with in the past, there is still the "best" dog in the world.....Rascal!  Instead of all of the Rascal stories that were shared with students in the past, now we have all new Rascal & Baby stories!  Children learn so much by hearing and telling stories...I can't wait to teach (...and learn from) my ELA students!
