Math Practice
Practice sums to five first. When your child knows those really well..move on to sums to 10. Later work on sums to 18. Also practice fact families (example: 1+2=3 , 2+1=3 , 3-1=2 , 3-2=1).
Reading Practice
(Vocabulary) It helps to make flashcards and keep a word bank. Practice vocabulary nightly. Have your child look for them in print all around ( signs, magazines, food labels, etc...). Have them identify them in storybooks they have at home. If they are having trouble with a certain word, put it up around the house. The refrigerator is a great place. Everytime they pass it you can point it out to them. Make it enjoyable! My child loved to play BINGO with her sight words. Match Game is another fun way to practice these words. If you have any concerns or questions just let me know. Let's have a great year !Refer to the HOME-LEARNING sheet for new vocabulary words, list of spelling words, and stories to read!!!
READ EVERY NIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
