Dear Class,

Hi, My name is Tonya Knight and I’m going to be your First Grade  Teacher. I am very excited about being your teacher sharing the many stories , games, and activities I have planned for you!  Also, we will play, have lots of fun, sing songs , and make new friends .  I can’t wait! Monday, August 24^th  will be the first day of school , !  Be sure and bring your new school supplies , so you can put them in your cubbie and desk  and be ready for the first day of First Grade. Believe it or not, even though I am happy , I am also a little bit nervous.  As soon as we are all in school , I know the nervousness will go away.  I just can’t wait to get to know you.  I am sure you are eager to know a little bit about me too!  I have been married for thirteen 13 years; my husband’s name is Dale.  We have one son Dalevyon (LJ), and he is 4 years old .  I like spending time with my family, going to church ,  and shopping.  When you come to school , we are going to have lots of fun!  I have been busy getting our room ready for fun and learning … I am so happy  you are in my class!
