Dear Parents and Students:

The following is a run down on what your child will be working on this week.

6th grade: (Unit 3 Week 5) We are reviewing our weekly vocab and spelling words. Also, we will learn about drawing conclusions, analogies, and the siffixes -ion and -ation.

7th grade: (Word Wisdom Unit 4 Lesson 2 & Rewards Plus Lessons 3-4) weekly vocabulary words; decoding of multi-syllabic words; fluency; vocabulary quiz.

**Please note that the primary homework for this class will be the student reading log. A reading log will be due every 2 weeks. The student must read 6 different times on 6 different days within that designated 2 week period. Each time the student reads it must be for at least 20 minutes and it must be signed off on by a parent. Failure to read 6 times or to not have a parental signature for any of the entries in question, will result in a zero for that particular reading log. If parents are having problems signing their student's log each time they read, they must contact me so some alternative can be reached.
