As well as starting with a fresh grade book as the second semester starts, we will also be starting fresh in all my classes with new materials.  We have just finished Book C and have begun Book D with a unit on speed.  In my other intensive class we have also finished up with the first book, and have started Book B with a unit on webs.  All three or my intensive reading classes finished first semester with an exam that looked at the progress they have made in the curriculum to this point.  My 7th grade class is also starting with a new book, moving from Rewards to Rewards plus.  This book starts getting into reading strategies that will not only develop a better reader, but prepare them for the upcoming FCAT in March.
