This is a wonderful opportunity for our students  dance, act, and sing. We hope you will join us for these fabulous productions.

 

We will also be performing Monologes and will be creating commercials this year.  We hope that the students have a great experience and enjoy the class.  There will be some assignments below that we will be working on all year.  Please read under the red for details.

IN BLACK BINDER WITH Clear Cover:  COVER SHEET- NAME, MUSCIAL THEATRE, HOMEROOM TEACHER, and GRADE
All work needs to be in clear plastic covers and divided in sections listed below with Tabs.

Table of contents

1.  *Dance/Musical Theatre resume'

*Pictures of yourself dancing, acting, singing and write-up of your goals (May include Head shot).


2.  Resources and Education:

*Styles of dance:  Each section should have a brief description and history

Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Line dancing, modern, African, lyrical


*Articles:  Read Three articles that should be based on topic of musical theatre or on an actor. 
All articles need to have the same topic an should be summarized and write why you chose topic.

*May include workshops you attended, hand-outs, write-ups


3.  Performances:

*should include program and brief write-up and evaluation on the perfomance.

*Video coverage of show/performance


4.  Tests and Evatulations

*Evaluations from class

*Tests and quizzes


5.  Inspiration: 

*Should include favorite dancers, actors, singers, dance legends, etc.  Could also include music, art, etc. and inspire you to create movement.


6.  Creative Section:  This can be your section.  Be CREATIVE!  You may choose to do an evaluation on a class, go the the Broadway Palm to see a musical, or watch a performance on video and do a write up on what you saw and experienced.   You may also write a story or play,  poem, etc.   These are just some ideas.

Please remember to bring water bottles with your name on it to

 

Physical Education. We will be working on physical fitness levels all

 

year and we will be moving!  This year we will be administrating the

 

FItnessgram fitness test. 

We are excited about the year and to be

 

active!

basic motor skills- jumping, leaping, hopping, skipping, walking, etc,

I will be adding to this list the second half off the year.  I hope that your child will have a positive experience in physical education this year.
