Now that scheduling is complete I will be visiting the 8^th grade students to set up the computer program used at CRHS called Naviance.  Dates for Naviance Registration at the sending districts will be announced.

 

Students who wish to be placed in honors level classes but do not meet the criteria must make an appointment with the respective supervisor after June 1^st.

• Math/Science-Bonnie Powers ext. 253

 

There will be two 8^th grade orientation nights where the students will be given a chance to see the building, meet their class advisor and learn about clubs and sports. These dates are:

Wednesday, May 29^th 7:00 pm, Hopewell, Fairfield, School Choice

Thursday, May 30^th 7pm, Deerfield, Stow Creek, Upper Deerfield, Private Schools

 

There will also be a summer event in early August in which students will be invited to spend the day at CRHS for some fun and lunch. Students only, no parents! This event will be announced as it gets closer.

 

Finally, after you receive your schedules in the mail at the end of August, we will have one more opportunity for freshman and their parents to come in and “walk through” their schedules so they know where they’re going the first day of school!

 

In the meanwhile, please feel free to check out some of our helpful links that include freshman course selection forms, a catalog of our classes at CRHS and the 4 year course plan. All freshmen will be required to complete a “plan” of the classes they plan to take for all 4 years of high school.

Students who are scheduled for Honors Language Arts 1 your summer reading books are 1984 and Cry, the Beloved Country.  All summer reading materials need to be handed in the first day of school.
