Welcome to Biology I!  I hope you are excited to begin a new school term.  I look forward to getting to know my new students. Let me tell you a little about myself.  I have been teaching at GHS since 1992!  I am married and have two sons.  I have a bachelor's degree in biology from the College of Charleston and am certified to work with GT students.  I have a "hands-on" approach to teaching biology, therefore you will be participating in a number of labs and activities each week in my class.  This year students enrolled in Honors Biology I, CP Biology I and Applied Biololgy I and II will be required to take the END OF COURSE exam.  It will count 20% of the final grade.  In addition to teaching biology I am also one of the sponors of  the GHS Beta Club. Parents please feel free to contact me via email or phone (941-5600) with any questions or concerns.  My email address is cobbsw@gwd50.org
