Dear Parent or Guardian:

I welcome your son or daughter to my Drama class this semester. Theatre education is a creative and critical-thinking process that helps students foster a healthy self-concept, develop intrapersonal skills, clarify their perceptions of the world, and nurture an awareness of themselves as physical, social, and creative beings. Students are
encouraged to develop interpersonal skills, cultivate empathy for others, explore relationships, and enhance real-world communication skills.

Class work involves day-to-day progression for the individual student a well as instruction in working in ensemble groups. I believe that daily attendance in my class is important training for the present as well as the future careers and other responsibilities.

I know your child and I can have a successful semester together in Drama. Please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail me if you have any questions concerning my class.

I know that you will help me in making your child’s theatre experience fulfilling and enjoyable.

Thank you sincerely,
