Mr. Bourbeau"s Spanish Class School Year 2009 - 2010
Welcome Letter Given to Students the First Day of School
My name is Mr. Bourbeau and I want to welcome you to my Spanish class. It is my pleasure to be your Spanish teacher for this semester. This is my fifteenth year as a teacher at Greenwood High School. Teaching here has been an enjoyable experience for me and I will do my absolute best to make learning enjoyable for you.
I learned Spanish during my 24 years in the U.S. Army, almost eight of those years I was stationed in the Spanish speaking country of Panama. I received my Masters Degree in Spanish from the University of South Carolina in 2004.
Expectations
I expect you to come to class prepared. You are required to bring your textbook, workbook, notebook, and a pencil to every class session. The only way that you can become proficient in a foreign language is through much practice. In order for you to be successful in this class you will be required to do a lot of studying. I am available to help students needing extra help every morning before school.
