Your child may bring in a snack to eat in the afternoon due to our early lunch schedule.  (crackers, fruit, veggies, chips)  Snack donations for the whole class are appreciated!  Full bellies = better learners.  :)   

 

 

Homework:
*Monday and Wednesday there will be one Math homework page and one Reading page
*Tuesday and Thursday: one Math homework page and your child's choice of spelling homework
* Please encourage your child to complete the homework assigned each night.
  If your child receives a No Homework Pass for earning 10 green "great" days of behavior, they may use it for 1 reading OR math assignment for the night.

* There is a Homework Helper in the BEE book to help with certain skills, it includes: hundreds chart, D'Nealian handwriting, and dolche sight words to practice

* Homework is not graded, but it is recorded and taken into account for certain schoolwide privileges

Spelling homework options:

  • write each word 3x
  • write each word in a sentence
  • write the consonants in one color and the vowels in another color
  • rainbow spelling- write each letter in a different color
  • sailboat spelling
  • write a definition for each word using a dictionary
  • write the word and then make a picture that goes along with the word
  • write words in ABC order

* Please check the B.E.E. (bring everything everday) binder for notes, graded work, homework and behavior.

* Please sign the behavior chart each night. 
* Please read Media/library  books every night for 20 minutes.
