Dear Parents and students,

Welcome to the third quarter!!! It's hard to believe that we are already half way through fourth grade! The students are working hard and learning so much.

Here are some important dates to remember:

 2/2/10- report card day (Tuesday)

2/9/10- FCAT Writes!(Tuesday)

2/15/10- no school (President's Day)

2/15/10- no school (Teachers' In-service day)


Remember, that you can access your child's grades at any time by using our school website through the parentlink at http://parentlink.leeschools.net

Academic highlights:

*In language arts we are practicing mock writing tests in both expository and narrative formats

* In math we are studying geometry

* In reading we are working on sequencing skills and students have set new third quarter A.R. goals for themselves too.

*In science the students are reporting on their Solar System Planet Projects! (we will return to Social Studies in a few weeks).


Remember that homework is assigned Monday through Friday and is always due the next day at school. Please feel free to call  or e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your invovlement with your child's education.
