February News:

* Be sure to ask your author about our class visitor; the published author Mr. Robert Macomber!!

* FCAT Writes is 2/9. Please be sure your student is well fed with brain food and well rested for optimum performance. We will be testing in the mornig, so is important that he/she arrives to school on time so that I can prepare them for our big day! The students have worked hard and are ready to show what they know!

* No school for students 2/15 & 2/16.

* FCAT reading and math tests begin March 9th.

* Valentine's Day card exchange will be 2/12. If your child is giving Valentine's cards he/she needs to make one for all classmates. We would not want anyone to feel left out. Below is a list of the students' names. Please note that 4 students will need Friendship Cards instead of Valentines.

math: long division, measurement
reading: 20-30 minutes nightly. An AR book goes home from my class nightly with students. 
language arts: descriptive vocabulary, sensory words
