Students and parents can both benefit from this site! Use it to stay
up-to-date on events in the classroom, to get a description of
the curriculum we are learning in each of the core subjects, to get
an extra list of Spelling words each week, and an extra check of the homework assigned each night.
Math
This week we will continue working in Chapter 3. Students have all created Math Fact Flashcards and should be practicing each night. Make sure to complete your homework each night!
Science
We will continue studying the Earth's Landforms. Students should be studying their vocabulary for this chapter each night. They all have a baggie with flashcards to help them. Look for the username and password for the Science Textbook website (linked at left) written in your planner! This will give you some extra study help!
Reading
This week we continue with the read aloud, Lily's Ghosts by Laura Ruby. Please encourage your child to discuss the book each night. This week and next we will focus on finding/identifying the Main Idea and Details in a text. Students need to be reading their AR book sfor 30 minutes each night as a part of homework.
