Please note that Room 2B is a Peanut-Free classroom. Please keep peanut butter, peanuts, or peanut related products at home as you prepare lunches and snacks for your child. I encourage healthy snacks such as fruit, pretzels, crackers, etc.
I have a few reminders. First, please label everything you send to school, especially clothes, with your child’s name. Second, students may bring water bottles. Please fill them at home so there is not a long line at the water fountain. Students may refill their water bottle during lunch. I will ask that they take their bottles home each day to be washed and refilled. Also, students must bring a pair of old socks. One will be used to cover the bottle so that it does not sweat on the desk and papers. The second sock will be used to erase mini dry erase boards. Third, please do not email me to make a change in how your child is supposed to go home. Although technology is great, sometimes the Internet is down. Please send a note or call the office if your child’s dismissal plans change.
Some items will be needed throughout the year: Clorox wipes for wiping down the desks before and after lunch, Band-Aids, plastic spoons, and forks. Please feel free to send these with your child whenever it is convenient. As the baby wipes and Kleenex are depleted, we may need to restock those as well.

Here’s our specials schedule for the year:
Monday: Art
Tuesday: Music and Gym
Thursday: Library and Gym
Friday: Computer
I will be corresponding two ways with you daily about your child’s behavior and homework assignments via your child’s purple home folder. Please review your child’s behavior sheet and assignment notebook each evening and return both in the purple home folder.
I look forward to working with you to make this a wonderful year for your child. If you have any questions please feel free to call me, send a note, or e-mail me at lisa.draper@stgilbertschool.org.
