Mr. Blunda is a member of the Business Education Department at Bayonne High School.  Presently, he teaches four courses: International Business, Entrepreneurship, Business Technology and Introduction to Principles of Business.  During his time in our Business Department, Mr. Blunda has instructed various courses which include Business Law, Introduction to Keyboarding/Technology, Advanced Keyboarding/Technology, Sports & Entertainment Management, and Introduction To Work.  

 

Mr. Blunda holds the following certificates issued by the New Jersey State Department of Education:  School Business Administrator (CE), Principal/Supervisor (CE), and Teacher of Business Studies.

 

 

Grading:  Student performance is assessed through various measurements.  They include weekly lesson quizzes, quarterly review exams, in-class individual assignments, homework, and group activities.  Class participation is emphasized throughout the year. Instruction is delivered via open dialogue, class discussions, and textbook material.

 

Grading Weights/Marking Period: 50% Test Average, 30% Quiz Average, 20% Homework/Participation/Preparation

Teacher Profile
Mr. Blunda holds a B.S. in Accounting from Saint Peter's College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Most Noble Order of the Peacock - an academic distinction which identifies and is reserved for the Top 10 graduating seniors.  In addition, Mr. Blunda holds a M.A. in Education with a concentration in Supervision and Administration from Saint Peter's College where he graduated with high honors recording a perfect 4.0 GPA in the program studies.  In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Blunda served as an assistant football coach from 2002-2004.  In 2005, Mr. Blunda was appointed head football coach at Bayonne High School.  He held this position until February 2011.  Prior to his career as an educator and coach, Mr. Blunda was employed by Deutsche Bank where he served as an Assistant Vice President in the Funds Valuation Division within Deutsche Bank Asset Management.
