I am very excited to work with you this school year.  This is an awesome grade with bright and thoughtful children.  I look forward to sharing this educational journey with you and your child.  Here's to a great 2009-2010!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

SCHOOL DAY

The school day begins at 7:50 a.m. and dismisses at 2:05 p.m.  Please be sure your child is on time each day.


LUNCH

Our lunchtime is 11:17-11:49.

Student Lunch w/drink $1.60   Adult Lunch $2.50 Extra Drink $0.50


SPECIALS (P.E., MUSIC, ART, Technology)

Our specials time is from 10:05-10:45


TARGET

Target day is Wednesday.


LIBRARY

Our day to visit the Library/Media Center is on Thursdays.  Please remind your child to pack their library books Wednesday evening!

SNACK

We will have a snack time each day.  Please pack a healthy and energy boosting snack—NON SUGARY/ NO CANDY/NO JUNK FOOD—for your child to munch on during this break. 

CHICK-FIL-A

Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits are sold every Friday morning for $2.50 each.

BIRTHDAY TREATS

We will celebrate and share birthday treats during snack time or during lunch.  If you are sending a treat, please be sure there is enough to share with all classmates.  Also, it is very helpful to have treats pre-cut/pre-packaged.  **Treats should be brought in by your child that same morning.

 

AGENDAS

Please sign/initial your child's agenda every evening.  Please look for homework written by your child every day.

READING LOGS
I ask students to read at least 20 minutes every evening.  Please look for the reading log in his/her binder and initial every day.  Thank you for keeping up with this and supporting strong reading habits and love of literature!

THURSDAY (RED) FOLDERS
Please look for Thursday Folders that evening.  These folders contain papers to go home, some of which should be completed and returned to school.  Thank you for remembering this important form of communication!
