Welcome back to a brand new school year! I am so excited to be back! I have come to feel like Kaplan is my home and the faculty and students are my family. I have high expectations for all of my students this year. While I am teaching all college-bound students, the curricula are very diverse: English III is following Louisiana State Standards (formerly Common Core), English IV is incorporating some of the same practices while preparing for college reading and writing, and Dual Enrollment is actually writing college papers for their LSU English classes. This is sure to be a challenging year for all of us. Just know that I am here to help in any way I can. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Remind and Google Classroom are mandatory requirements for my class. Please make sure to enroll (and stay enrolled in case of new phones).
No Red Ink is an optional website that may help students with their grammar skills in a fun way. This is a great method of self-reflection and improvement. The link to sign up is below.
