There is no Bible verse, weekly math review sheet, book report, or spelling list this week.  Instead we will be preparing and practicing for graduation.

 

All library books and history CDs were due this week.  If you do not return them, you will receive a charge to cover replacing it/them.

 

Important Graduation Information

 

The Ceremony: Graduation is just around the corner-Wednesday, June 16^th to be exact.  Please join us in chapel at 10:00 A.M.  The ceremony will last approximately 1 hour. 

 

Luncheon: We have 11:30 A.M. reservations at On the Border in Mission Valley directly following graduation.  Please be on time.  The cost is $7.50 per person.  Please make checks payable to FCS.  Payment is due A.S.A.P.

 

Honoring our staff:  Each student is to bring in a dessert to represent the teacher they have been assigned to honor at graduation. (Your child will explain what this means).  Bring your dessert the morning of graduation.

 

Graduation Caps: Please bring in a baseball cap to toss at the end of the graduation ceremony.

 

What should your child wear to graduation?

Students are to wear their “Sunday Best”.  Boys should wear a nice shirt, slacks, and dress shoes.  A tie or jacket is optional.  Girls can wear dress slacks, if they prefer, or a dress or skirt.  The dress must meet school code.  This means that straps must be 3 adult fingers thick, long enough to reach the fingertips, and no halter tops.  If your daughter’s dress is a halter top and has an open back, or if it has spaghetti straps, please make sure they wear some kind of sweater, jacket, or a shrug over top.  Girls should not wear make-up or high heels (kitten heels are okay). -No jeans or sneakers-

 

Graduation Tiles: Thank you to the Cruz’s for putting up our tiles.  Come see them next week.

 

June 17^th is the last day of school for sixth graders.  Sixth graders are not required to attend school on Thursday, June 17^th or Friday, June 18^th.  They may want to attend Kindergarten promotion at 10:00 AM on the 17^th.
