Computer Art I
This course is an introduction to computers and their application in the art process.
Throughout Art History, artist strove to create and embraced technology as a tool to create even more. In this course we will study how artists used technological advancements from the paint brush to the printing press to create unique works of art. As we study their work, we will observe key elements and techniques used that will collimate into the principles of art and design. As we study these artists we will use those same principles to create our own unique works of art utilizing Photoshop.

This course is offered to those that have completed Computer Art I. In this course we will be furthering in Computer art with the introduction of a new program, Adobe Illustrator. We will continue to mirror the works of the great artist with our learning of this new program. The artist we will be studying have taken the art making process of the 20th century and begun using their skills to create art work for others by taking the ideas given to them and reinterpreting them into works of art. This form of work became know as Illustration and laid the ground work for future Graphic Design. This will take you through the initial stages of commercial arts.

Computer Art III
This course is offered to those that have completed Computer Art II. In this course we will be furthering computer art with the introduction of a new program, Adobe dreamweaver and Flash. We will continue to mirror the works of the great designers with our learning of this new program and review the previously learned software Photoshop and Illustrator. We will continue to use these software but we will begin using them to create even more complex designs. With the introduction of Dreamweaver and Flash, we will take those illustrations and create animations and web designs. At the end of this course we will create WebPages displaying the work we have completed.

Classroom Rules
1. Attention
A. Pay attention to who ever is addressing the classroom by listening with an open mind and a closed mouth.
B. Pay attention to the board upon entering the classroom for information pertaining to today’s class, future homework, and following classes.
C. Pay attention to the time for this class and the time for assignments. Unjustified lateness to class or lateness in turning in projects and will result in a lowering of your grade.
2. Respect
A. Respect each others work, space, and individuality.
B. Respect the equipment (computers, desks, chairs, books, etc.) by handling them carefully and returning them in the same condition you received them.
C. Respect each others ideas without prejudice.
D. Respect the school rules of conduct and avoid from all behaviour that contradict good behaviour.
(Examples: hitting, cursing etc.)

A. Try every assignment to the best of your ability.
