About Mrs. Remkus
I was born and raised in East Tennessee. I grew up in Pigeon Forge and graduated from TMI Academy in Sweetwater, Tn. Besides Tennessee and Georgia, I have also lived in Alabama and Illinois. I was married in 1983 in the Smoky Mountain National Park.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Lesley University.
My involvement with Lewis goes back to 1993. Both of my children graduated from Lewis. My oldest son, Blake graduated from UGA and is a Marine stationed in CA. Mark is the owner/operator of his own business called I-Swag at Perimeter Mall.
I have been teaching at Lewis since the 2000 - 2001 school year. This is my first year teaching second grade. I love that I was able to loop up with last years class and have welcomed many new students to Lewis this year. I LOVE teaching second grade and the new Common Core Curriculum.
My husband and I live in Kennesaw with two cats, Pete and Bev. Besides teaching, I love reading, traveling, learning about history and geography, and gardening.
