Welcome to Ms. Linda's Class
I want to work with all of you. Anytime you need to contact me, please send a note and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Many concerns can be taken care of over the phone. Please understand that I do want to meet each of my student’s parents. When I do have scheduled breaks, I am doing some work for class. If I have a scheduled conference with you, I will be able to set aside a time to talk with you undisturbed. Through communication, we (you and I) can help your child learn more. I want to help your child learn, but I need your help.
On behalf of your child, I will ask that you help with materials sent home for studying. If materials sent home are studied when I send them home, your child will be on top of things. If materials are not studied at home, it is easy for a child to fall behind and hard to catch-up. Study materials will be things that we are working on at school. That way, homework will just be an extension of what we’re doing at school. CHECK YOUR CHILD’S BOOK SACK FOR HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT.
You will find that if there is a problem with something, I want to be aware of it. If it can be taken care of at the beginning, it will not be blown out of proportion. If a problem crops up, let’s handle it right away. Remember, I will only know about concerns at school if you don’t let me know your concerns at home.
Let us -- YOU and I -- work together for your child’s best interest and education!!!
It is in your child’s best interest that we work together. I will keep you informed about your child’s progress. You need to keep me informed of any help you may need in order to better help your child at home.
If and when you have questions about something I do, please contact ME.
I believe in stopping a problem before it becomes a problem. If I see that a child is having problems with a subject, I will send a note home asking for your help and I will try to arrange some extra help for recesses. If things are learned when I send them home, a lot of the problems will not be there.
Thank you,
Ms. Linda
