Welcome to the 2010-2011 School year. This year I'm teaching 3 classes of Science and one class of Social Studies. I will give homework at least twice a week and sometimes more.
The Science topics will be in order
Rocks and minerals 7 weeks
Weathering and erosion 4 weeks
inside the earth 7 weeks
Water in Earth's process 5 weeks
Climate and Weather 5 weeks
Universe and the Solar System 3 weeks
Earth, Moon, and Sun 3 weeks
Human Impact 2 Weeks
I will attempt to stay very close to this schedule
Social Studies is the
world around us. We will study the beliefs, economy, customs, language and other social aspects that make up our social environment. We will study all the countries in the Western Hemisphere except the U.S. Europe, Australia will also be covered.
The textbooks will be left at home so the students will have a reference to look at without bringng books back an forth. Please use the books as a reference. Most of the homework will come directly from the text or your home computer/tv news. Lack of computers at home students should try to do something related with the text or other methods.
Students who choose to do additional work, projects, reports and so forth will receive extra credit for this work.
