7th Grade Connected Mathematics

The seventh grade math program comprises study skills, patterns, number theory, geometry, measurement, expressions, equations, inequalities, integers, probability, statistics, graphing, ratios, proportions and percents. Students learn that math is not a group of isolated topics, but a useful way of thinking in almost any situation. Problem-solving strategies are applied to all areas of life. Manipulatives are used to understand concepts before using numerical symbols. Calculators and computers are used whenever they are appropriate.
