Kindergarten is an exciting time for you and your child.  We will have fun learning new things everyday.  I will do my best to make everyday an enjoyable time for your child, but also a time filled with real learning.  The skills we practice daily are the building blocks for your child's future success in life!  

 

I am anxious for our “team approach” concerning your child’s education. We all have the same goal – for your child to be happy, challenged, comfortable, and secure in a safe environment. We need to work together in order for your child to reach maximum success. I am asking that you please review things we have learned at school on a daily basis. There is no need to spend hours at night drilling skills. Have fun…read books daily, play word games, review letters/sounds, numbers, etc. I will be sending home some ideas for you throughout the year. We will have homework nightly. It is your child’s homework. You will need to help your child, but encourage your child to do the majority of the work on their own. Please read the newsletters I send home with your child on Mondays. They will tell you everything that we are working on for that week and activities that are happening at school.

I would like to tell you a bit about myself.  My name is Ms. Ardelle Ledet.  I grew up in St. Martinville.  I graduated from St. Martinville High School in 1994.  I am a graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with my certification in PreK- 3rd grade. I have over 22 years of teaching experience.
