5th grade English Language Arts

Welcome to fifth grade!! This will be an exciting year for you, students! You are the big kids on campus this year. Along with the distinction of being the "top dogs" comes responsibility. You are the role models for all the other students from Pre-K to 4th grade. Show them what it takes to be a member of TEAM MEAUX by being a Meaux  Model Student! 

I also want to welcome you to the sweet world of Reading and Writing! You will enjoy reading so much this year! We will read some awesome novels and many articles about current events that impact your lives. Writing promises to be just as engrossing as reading. We will build upon what your previous teachers have taught you and you will become authors in your own right!  I really think you will love coming to my class as much as I will enjoy having you there!  Reading and writing are my favorite subjects and I hope in this coming year they become yours, too!
