I have been teaching at Magowan Elementary School for 15 years, three years in second grade and going on my 13th year in first grade. First grade is by far my favorite. The children learn to read and write, lose their teeth and love their teacher! Both my practicum and student teaching experiences were done here at Magowan School. I graduated from Holy Family University in 2001 and was hired as a second grade teacher in the fall of that year. A few years later, I returned to Holy Family University and attained some graduate credits in Special Education. I am back at it but this time pursuing a Bilingual Certification at Rowan University. My husband and I are blessed with a daughter, who is 9 and going into fourth grade this year.
