Welcome! My name is Jodi Pastirko. I have been a teacher at Deerfield Township School for 19 years. Through those 19 years I have taught everything from Pre-k to 8th grade. Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher. I began by playing school every day as a child, moving on to babysit, working in a daycare center as a teenager, and finally substituting when I had enough credits from college. I fulfilled my endeavor by attending Rowan College of New Jersey. After graduating from Rowan, I was hired at Deerfield Township School.
My family and I live locally. I have two daughters, one is twenty three and the other is fifteen. The oldest daughter is now a teacher here at DTS and I couldn't be prouder. The youngest daughter attends Cumberland Regional High School. She is very active and keeps me busy.
The following is my grading policy for my classroom.
Homework : 20%
Classwork and
quizzes : 30%
Tests and
Projects : 50%
I expect all of my students to try their best. If they give their best, how can I ask for anything more?
If you believe it, you can achieve it. -Walt Disney
