Welcome to Mrs. D's class! I am so very excited to have each and every one of you in my class.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me at [email protected]. I also use the remind 101 app. I will respond to any messages within 24 hours.

Important Notes for Parents:

Students are not allowed to take home any of their books. Please encourage your child to pay attention during class time. This will allow them to be successful this school year.

ELA: We will be reading three different novels this year: The Birchbark House, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and Wonderstruck. Each student will be given a book to put in their binder to do their class work. They are to keep this book in their binder and bring it to class every day. They should go over their notes in their book each night in order to study for their quizzes.

Social Studies: Students will have a study guide they will use to study for their tests. We provide the students with their study guide as to help the studing process. Since the students can not take their social studies books home, it is best to make sure your child knows where their study guide is and is looking over the study guide every night. ***There will be sections on your child's test that will not be on their study guide. They will have to use different types of sources (maps, charts, excertps, etc.) included in the test to be sucessful on these sections. This is to insure that students are exposed to test questions they will see on the LEAP test.
