     The Physical Education staff at Midtown will place an emphasis this year on helping the children become aware of the benefits of fitness and how to lead a healthy lifestyle.   Your child will be doing 25-35 minutes of continuous activity to achieve a fitness level.  Every marking period, all students will be tested on their fitness levels using the "New" Fitness Gram assessment.  Fitness as well as skill acquisition will be incorporated into each of our units.  These are necessary tools the students need to succeed in society and we feel our classes are a perfect setting to help enhance these social skills.  We plan on accomplishing this by trying many different and new activities and look forward to another successful year at Midtown Community School.
