Welcome students and parents!
I am enthusiastic, passionate, and excited about teaching and education. I have very high expectations for my students and myself. Therefore, failure is not an option. I am looking forward to an exciting, productive, and rewarding school year. I believe a good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort among parent, child, and teacher.
There is much to be done, taught, learned, mastered, and achieved, but we only have 180 days to do it. So let us begin! We will be running a marathon this year that will demand endurance, diligence, humbleness, cooperation, and optimism. Are you ready?
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me by letter( letters can be sent by student), phone, or email. The school's number is 884-6677 or use the best method of communicating with me via email. My email address is rhardy@liberty.k12.ga.us .
Below you will find information that will be helpful throughout the year. Take the time to review and discuss information. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Homework
Homework will be assigned Monday thru Thursday and on Fridays as needed. Homework is turned in during homeroom. If homework is not turned in on time, the student will receive a zero for that assignment. Homework will not be accepted late from students who are present during homeroom.
Absences
Students will not be able to make up assignments for unexcused absences. The grade will be recorded as a zero. Therefore, it is very important to make sure students are in school. If the need arises for them to be out, please be sure it is for an excused reason and provide proper documentation. Tests and quizzes will be made up on the day the student returns to school from an EXCUSED ABSENCE and will be taken during class (unless otherwise indicated). Students will have 3 days to make up any missed assignments. It is the student's responsibility to make sure that they receive their missed assignments.
Cheating
Any student caught cheating will automatically receive a zero on the assignment. If a student gives another student his or her work to copy, both parties will receive a zero.
