Students will receive a 1-3 in each of the following categories:

 

Category 1: Creating & Responding

Skills, Craftsmanship, Application, & Technique

Vocabulary, History, Culture, Critique, Self- Critique, and Aesthetic Response

 

 

Category 2: Performing

Participation, Artistic Procedures, Cooperation, Effort, and Material Management 

 

 

 

GRADES 6-8

Students will receive a 1-3 in each of the following categories:

I.e. Final Art, Sketchbooks

 

Category 2: Performing

Participation, Artistic Procedures, Cooperation, Effort, and Material Management

 

Category 3: Responding

Vocabulary, History, Culture, Critique, Self- Critique, and Aesthetic Response

I.e. Self Reflections, Class Critiques, Unit Quiz and Assessments

 

 

Students in grades 6-8 are expected to have a sketchbook for every art class. They are encouraged to keep their sketchbooks in their assigned art class cabinet/drawer.

If taken care of, students should be able to use the same sketchbook throughout their 3 years in Junior High.
