Make your own ice cream

1/4 cup cream, half and half, whole milk, or milk alternative

1 and a half teaspoon sugar

2 teaspons vanilla extract

1 sandwhich size zip lock bag

1 large zip lock bag

2 cups ice

6 tablespoons salt

 

1. In the small bag mix the vanilla, cream, and sugar. Seal it tightly. Make sure there are no leaks. 

2. In the large bag, add the ice and salt.  Put the sealed small bag inside the large bag and seal the large bag tightly.  

3. Shake vigorously for 5-7 minutes.  Feel the consistency of the small bag every once in a while to make sure it is getting frozen.  Keep shaking the bag.  

4. Pour your frozen ice cream into a bowl or cup and enjoy with a spoon.  Add toppings if desired.
