Q1 Highlights...
Learning Targets:
Readers's Workshop: I can discuss the elements of a story. This includes the characters, setting, and events/details from the BEGINNING, MIDDLE, & END.
I can tell you the differences between a fiction & nonfiction text.
I can use illustrations and details to tell about the story.
Writer's Workshop: I can write to tell you my own personal story. This is called a personal narrative. I use temporal words such as FIRST, NEXT, THEN, & LAST to help me do this.
Math: I can add and subtract within 10. I will practice strategies to help me.
I can tell you how many tens and ones are in teen numbers 11-19.
I can solve word problems within 10 with the result unknown.
Science: I can tell you about the different types of weather. I can also explain what precipitation is and how we measure the weather.
I can tell you about how weather affects us.
I can tell you how magnets subtract and repel.
Social Studies: I can tell you where I live. This includes my continent, country, state, county, & city.
I can tell you about needs, wants, goods, services, and what scarcity is.
