Behavioral Expectations:

 

Our class principles

1.  Anything that hurts another person is wrong.

2.  I am responsible for myself.

3.  We are each other's keeper.

4.  I take pride in me.

5.  Leave it better than how you found it.

 

Class expectations:

1.  Be on time, on task and prepared to learn everyday.

2.  Keep all electronics away and off.

3.  Be responsible for your own learning,

4.  Be honest.

5.  Respect the teacher, the classroom, and other students.

6.  Trash goes in the trash can.  

 

Academic Expectations:

 

Students are expected to:

1.  Write their first and last name on their papers.  

2.  Be silent during a test or quiz.  

3.  Submit their assignments on time.    (If a student is absent, they have one day for each day of absence to make up the missed work.  If there is an extenuating circumstance please reach out to me.) There is an M in Parent Portal if the student has the assignment missing.

4.  Use the RACE method when writing extended constructed response answers. 

     R  rephrase

     answer the question

     cite the evidence from the text.

     E  explain how the text supports the answer.  This is some times not applicable to the question.  The RAC is ALWAYS expected.

5.  Spell words found in the text, questions, directions or in the classroom correctly.  Failing to do so will result with the answer being marked incorrectly.

6.  Read 30 minutes daily. 

7.  Study and prepare for all test, quizzes and assessments.
